The 126 C2 replaced the tubular logic of its predecessor with a far stiffer honeycomb-panel monocoque. Its compact twin-turbo V6 delivered formidable acceleration, while pull-rod suspension and cleaner bodywork gave Ferrari a more complete ground-effect package.

It won the Constructors' title in a season overshadowed by the loss of Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi's career-ending accident. That contrast between technical success and human tragedy made the 126 C2 one of Ferrari's most consequential cars.
