Baghetti won at Reims on his first championship Grand Prix appearance in 1961. His Ferrari brought immediate success, but no further championship victories followed. The story’s appeal lies in that unusual trajectory: a win at the beginning rather than the culmination of a long progression. Reims remains the setting for this exceptional first appearance.
