The circuit opened in 1959 inside Mexico City's Magdalena Mixhuca sports park and was later named for brothers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez. It returned in 1986 after rebuilding, then again in 2015 with the fearsome Peraltada partly replaced by a stadium section.
John Surtees secured the 1964 world title here after Ferrari team orders. Nigel Mansell's outside pass on Gerhard Berger at the Peraltada defined 1990, while Lewis Hamilton sealed championships at the circuit in 2017 and 2018.
Across 4.304 km, its 17 corners create a distinct rhythm between braking, precision and acceleration. As a permanent racing circuit, it asks drivers and teams to adapt setup, tyre management and race strategy to the venue's particular constraints, while its clockwise direction shapes the sequence of its most demanding sectors.
